A relationship with money

It can be complicated, life-giving, toxic, honest, and healthy.

And all of the above.

This matters when starting a business.

For instance, if one views money as icky, evil, or gross, asking for money will never feel comfortable. For founders, this dynamic lurks behind conversations that involve money - sales, pricing, salary negotiations, and fundraising.

And, if money is evil or gross, raising money or selling your services will be painful. Why invite more evil into your life?

Unless, of course, money is something else.

(By the way: we can’t love or worship money either – that brings other money problems).

Healthy, peaceful, integrity, growing in depth, and moving toward wholeness. Our relationship with money can be these things, too.

Raising money doesn't start with pitch decks, deal terms, and company valuations. It begins with our stories, values, & relationships.
